These are planning ranges from completed projects, not quotes. Species, detail level, finish, hardware and site conditions all move the number. The binding price is the one in your signed written proposal. Material sold on its own is priced on our materials page.

Cost Drivers

What moves your number

Two kitchens of the same size can differ by forty thousand dollars. Here is where that gap actually comes from, so you can steer it on purpose rather than discover it at proposal time.

  • Species. Paint grade maple versus rift white oak or walnut is the single largest swing in most quotes.
  • Construction style. Inset doors require far more fitting time than full overlay and price accordingly.
  • Detail level. Applied mouldings, integrated panels, curved work and grain matched runs all add shop hours.
  • Finish. A sprayed catalyzed finish, a hand rubbed oil and a multi step glazed finish are three very different labor numbers.
  • Hardware. Standard soft close versus specialty organizers, lifts and marine grade hardware adds up quickly across a kitchen.
  • Site conditions. Out of square walls, tight access and upper floor installs add install time.
  • Schedule. Compressed timelines mean overtime and expedited material, and we will tell you what that costs before you commit.

Always Included

  • Consultation and budget conversation
  • On site measurement and survey
  • Drawings and 3D views for approval
  • Written line item scope with allowances
  • Shop finishing with proper cure time
  • Site protection and daily cleanup
  • Scribing, fitting and hardware adjustment
  • Punch list walkthrough and warranty

Money Questions

Payment and terms

Is the estimate free?

The consultation, measurement and a budget range are free. For complex projects requiring significant design time, a design retainer applies and is credited in full toward your project when you proceed.

Is your price fixed?

Yes. Your contract states a price for a defined scope, with allowances named for anything not yet selected. Changes happen only through written change orders you approve first.

What is an allowance?

A budgeted dollar amount for an item you have not chosen yet, such as hardware or stone. Select under it and you are credited, go over and you pay the difference. Every allowance appears in the proposal.

What deposit do you require?

Typically 50 percent at contract signing to release material and shop time, with the balance due on completion or per a milestone schedule for larger projects.

Do you offer payment schedules?

For whole home and commercial projects, yes. Payments are tied to defined milestones such as drawing approval, fabrication start and delivery.

Why is custom more expensive than stock cabinetry?

Because it is built to your dimensions, in the species and finish you chose, with joinery meant to last decades. Where stock or semi custom would genuinely serve you better, we will say so rather than sell you something you do not need.

Do you price match other shops?

We will review another quote with you line by line. The gap is usually construction method, species grade, finish quality or what has quietly been excluded. We would rather explain the difference than cheapen the work to match it.

Have a drawing, a room, or just an idea?

Send us dimensions or a photo and we will come back with a design direction, material options and a written price.
